I love Melbourne, like really love Melbourne. I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world and experience some of the worlds most amazing cities, but I always love coming home.
One of my favourite things about Melbourne is that there is always something going on, whether it be sports, a foodie festival or a great exhibition, there is always something to do. I try my best to get out and experience everything this great city has to offer, so this week I finally made my way to NGV to see the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition and it was just brilliant.
I love all things fashion, but Jean Paul Gaultier really takes it to another level. He is so incredibly creative and has managed to make outfits out of just about any material available – I’m talking an entire outfit made of ribbon, or that infamous garbage bag dress. All in all, I found the exhibition to be very theatrical, in that I mean that the pieces weren’t practical and very few could actually be worn outside of a theatre or movie production, but that doesn’t take away from the exceptional pieces this man has created. He is the true definition of a visionary.
For those of you that haven’t had a chance or may not get a chance to visit the exhibition here are some of the amazing pieces on display.

I keep seeing images from this exhibit popping up on Instagram and I’m jealous it’s in Melbourne. Hopefully one day it’ll make it’s way up to Brisbane, it looks stunning! Lovely shots too! x
