Melbourne Food and Wine Festival


It’s that time of the year again where Melbourne celebrates everything food and drink. Like earlier years the events list is huge! It can actually be quite overwhelming sifting through the list, so I thought I’d highlight the ones that caught my eye.

Port Phillip Mussel Festival

Our opportunity to celebrate the mussel with heaps of food (mussels of course) and entertainment.

I’m talking all things street food from Europe to Asia, this is going to be one epic battle between some of Melbourne’s best chef’s.

Loads of unique events, cooking demonstrations from the stars of SBS, pop up stalls and tastings. This will be a great event for the whole family.

Red Spice Road
Mackillop Street is the setting for this long table lunch hosted by Red Spice Road, where guests will be treated to one of the restaurants iconic banquets.

‘U Mercatu’ Sicilian Market
Bar Idda (located in the Brunswick end of Lygon Street) will be transformed into a Sicilian market where guests can trade with the vendors for some Sicilian style street food. We’re talking everything from arrancini to cannoli.

Fromage a Trois – Cheese and Cider Festival

Fromage a trois
Werribee Park will play host to artisan cheesemakers and boutique cider producers. There will be loads of food, drink, entertainment, demonstrations and of course tastings.
