Fashion – Capes, Capes and More Capes

Winter 2015 is the season on the Cape. Every where I turn I see super stylish ladies with the most amazing capes draped over their shoulders.  I love the way they add a bit of class and sophistication to the most simple of outfits.

To say I’m jealous of these ladies would be a huge understatement, I absolutely love capes, but I’ve never felt that they suited me, or maybe it’s more that I just haven’t found the right one.

So in my quest to find the perfect Cape, i’ve come across these absolute beauties that I had to share with everyone.

Fashion – Get Out Your Coats

To my absolute dismay, it looks as though the cold weather has well and truly set in (what can you hear? Ye p, that’d be all of Melbourne letting out one big collective sigh). Given I live in this great southern state, it really shouldn’t surprise me that I’m already living in boots and  knits, and although I’ve resisted temptation, it’s time to pull out my winter coat and scarves.

A good coat is such a necessity in Melbourne (especially if you have to brave freezing mornings, standing of a train platform or walking through the CBD to get to work. I definitely don’t miss those days!), so I tend to buy a new one each year, and yes this shopaholic, limits herself to one great piece each year that I just about wear to death. Finding a great looking and fitting coat isn’t an easy task, I can try on what feels like a hundred coats before I decide on one. So if you’re like me and struggle to find that perfect coat, I’ve made it a whole lot easier for you, here are some of the amazing pieces up for grabs this year.

Fashion – Winter Work Wardrobe

Any hope of summer or a nice sunny day in Melbourne is very quickly fading away, so it’s time to embrace the cold weather again. That’s right ladies, pull out your winter coats, boots and scarves, it’s time to keep warm.

I really love this time of year, not because of the terrible weather (i’ll take a hot climate any day, says she who calls Melbourne home), but because winter fashion is all about comfort. I love nothing more than wearing boots, jeans, a cute knit, a bright scarf and a great coat to finish off the look.

However when it comes to winter work wear it can get pretty boring, so I’ve done a bit of late night online shopping and come across these great pieces that I can’t wait to add to my wardrobe.

New Work Wardrobe – Dresses

Summer is upon us ladies, so it’s time to freshen up your work wardrobe. I’m going back to work in the new year and given I was pregnant last summer, I haven’t brought any new work gear in a couple of years. I’m right in the swing of updating my work wardrobe, so I thought I’d share some of the great pieces I’ve come across.

This week I’m starting with dresses. I’m a huge, huge fan of a dress in summer, they’re such a quick and easy outfit. They often look great with very little effort – my kind of outfit, especially when I’m rushing around at 7am.
